"Ole Miss and Akron have already offered me," Torrence informed. "It felt real good to get an offer to play college ball. It is nice to know that if my main option falls through I will have a place to play. Ohio State is also showing me some interest."
As a junior Torrence put up some huge numbers on both sides of the ball to earn All-District, All-State, and All-Conference honors.
Offensively from his spot at running back he compiled over 1,700 all-purpose yards and scored more than 15 touchdowns. Defensively he racked up 123 tackles and 11 tackles for a loss.
"I think I am pretty good on the defensive side of the ball," Torrence said of his skills. "I like playing linebacker. I think the fact that I play both ways gives me an advantage. I get a good feel for what is happening on the other side of the ball."
Torrence may wind up rated as the No.1 prospect in Ohio in 2008, so it is inevitable that he will receive an abundance of recruiting attention, but he contends that there is only one school on his mind.
"I am really just interested in Ohio State right now," Torrence said of his favorite. "I am a big fan, My brother is going there and I want to be where my brother is."
