Jeremiah Talks About MSU Visit

Hilliard Darby defensive tackle Antonio Jeremiah has seen interest from several major programs, this weekend he headed to Michigan State and has the all latest on his visit with new Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio.

It didn't take long for Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio to reach back into Ohio to grab one of the states top prospects.  Dantonio who took over the Spartan program just two weeks ago landed Hilliard Darby defensive lineman Antonio Jeremiah this weekend after the 6-5 285 lb. defensive standout left from his official visit.


Jeremiah who held offers from Boston College, Illinois, Louisville, Syracuse and West Virginia is a major recruit for the new Spartan staff as they look to change the direction of the Spartan program. spoke with Jeremiah as he was headed back to Ohio.


Scout: How was your trip to MSU?


AJ: It was real good my mom and dad really love it and I had a great time hanging out with some of the players.


Scout: With the visit do you have a top five in your mind?


AJ: I committed to Michigan State.  I really liked the programs they have to help me with my academics.  I have interest in studying special education and they have all the things I need.


Scout: How did Coach Dantonio react?


AJ: He was very happy and excited that I'm going to play at Michigan State.


Scout: Is MSU looking at keeping you on the defensive side of the ball?


AJ: Yes, they are looking at me playing defensive tackle when I'm there.


When we spoke with Antonio he was in a car heading back home from his official visit. will look to having an in-depth interview with the newest verbal commitment to the Spartans later in the week.
