Ohio High School Fantasy Draft: Day Six

Over the holiday season the recruiting analyst's on the site decided to have a little fun and test their knowledge of Ohio High School football by conducting a mock fantasy draft.

The football recruiting experts on the site decided to get together and have a little friendly competition.

When the recruiting rankings are finalized there is always a lot of debate over where the players are ranked. We decided to have an all positions fantasy draft to decide exactly where we would take this player when it came down to fielding a team. In the contest it is the Regional Experts (Bob Lichtenfels and Greg Powers) Vs. the Ohio Experts (Bill Greene and Dave Berk).

Obviously there is no way to factually determine a winner, so after we fill our rosters we will take it to the boards for a poll on who did the best job.

**** For the second round on each team will select their two players back to back. So what that means is each round now two players per team instead of one instead of one.

Roster Breakdown (Each roster must have one of the following):

Anderson

Bill: A big, nasty 300-pounder to lead the running game. Plays O-line with an attitude.

Dave Berk: Has the size needed to step in and be ready to battle at the college level.  Will play guard or center at the next level and should be a road-grater before his career is over.

Trotwood-Madison

Bill: Will play strong safety on this team, but could have just as easily played OLB. Nice athlete who can run to the football.

Dave Berk: Physical size gives Peake a great advantage.  I first saw him at a combine after his sophomore season and he showed great athletic ability then.  With his move to Trotwood he's polished his skills and was a joy to watch at the Louisville combine last summer.  Does a great job in press coverage and shows a nose for the ball could grow into a linebacker at the next level.

Name Pos. Ht. / Wt. 40-Yard School
Dewey Elliot LB 6-1/240 4.6 Fairfield

Bob: Does anyone really know the real Dewey Elliot? I don't, but one thing is for certain he is one helluva a football player. I see more film a year than a movie theatre and Elliot's was one of the best I saw this year. One of the most explosive backers in the nation.

Greg: Elliot is the prototypical MLB. He is quick, reads the play well, and gets himself in the right position to make some great things happen. I think it is amusing that even in a fantasy type scenario he still slipped all the way to this pick despite the fact he is probably one of the top 10 players in the state talent wise.

Kyle Jefferson

WR

6-4 / 170

4.4

Glenville

Bob: Kyle really grew on me last year in San Antonio. I think he has a very high ceiling and once he adds some weight can be a very special player. Jefferson earns bonus points, because he is just a great kid as well.

Greg: I have to admit that I had my doubts about Jefferson coming in to this season. I just did not think that he had the frame to get out of the blocks against physical corner play. The thing I may have overlooked is the fact that he may be smooth enough to get by any corner.
