Adams Weighs His Options

Mike Adams has already racked up a solid offer sheet, and has began to concentrate on a few certain schools. Scout.com caught up with him for the latest.

There are always some major linemen in the state of Ohio, but Dublin Coffman's Mike Adams may be one of the best to come out of the "Buckeye State" in some time.

At 6-foot-8, 300-pounds he earned All-Ohio honors after destroying the competition laid out before him. Although he has the size and frame to be one of the best pass pro linemen in the nation, he has a passion for opening up running lanes.

"I love to run block," Adams began to explain of his on the field talents. "I like to get down the field and get in to some people. I want to lay some people out. Everybody loves the pancake."

When watching Adams film it is easy to see that he plays to the whistle and moves very well for a player his size. After a strong performance at the U.S Army Combine in San Antonio, Texas he earned Scout.com All-Combine honors.

"I definitely love competition," Adams said of the time he spent jumping to the front of the line to get in the one on one action at the combine. "I want to get out there and compete against some of the other players who are considered the best. I definitely think that will help me to be a better player."

Adams has been on fire lately, racking up offer after offer. Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Illinois were the most recent offers when they stepped up on National Letter of Intent Day. A few schools have jumped to the top of his list.

"Ohio State (offer), Michigan (offer), Notre Dame (offer), LSU (offer) and Tennessee (offer) are probably the schools I am most interested in right now," Adams informed.

Tennessee- "They just offered me a scholarship. I think that the offensive line coach will be in the school next Monday. They are a good school."

Ohio State- "I really like Ohio State. I like their coaching staff a whole lot. You can tell that they are all good people. I will be going to the Ohio State Junior Day."

LSU- "I do not know a whole lot about the school, but they have a good program. I think it would be fun to go check their school out."

Notre Dame- "They have a really nice campus. They are one of the main schools that I am really considering."

Michigan- "Michigan puts a whole lot of linemen in to the NFL."

Adams has thought about making an early decision, but he can not decide for sure when he wants to make a verbal commitment.

"I really do not have any plans or expectations of when I will commit," Adams explained. "Sometimes I have thought I would want to do it early, but I also think it would be awesome to go out and see some of these places for official visits."
