Shaw Pulls In a Big Offer

It is a busy day fr Trotwood-Madison High School. Not only is top wide receiver pledging to the Purdue Boilermakers, but running back Michael Shaw may have pulled in his biggest scholarship offer to date.

Michael Shaw, a 6-foot-0, 185-pound running back from Trotwood-Madison High School in Ohio has been one of the hottest recruits in the Midwest over the past couple of months.

Since he picked up his first official offer from Eastern Michigan in mid February, he has been adding major offers at an alarming rate. Tennessee, West Virginia, Nebraska, Iowa, Cincinnati, Maryland, Illinois, Akron, Toledo and Miami (Oh) have all made stepped up.

Sources from with in the Trotwood athletic department informed that Shaw added a huge offer this morning when the Penn State Nittany Lions threw their hat in the mix for his services.

This is a big offer for Shaw because he has consistently held a high interest in PSU. As a matter of fact, they have been one of the schools that had been recruiting him long before his recent explosion.

In addition to being a standout on the football field, Shaw is also one of the most exciting track athletes in the "Buckeye State". He will be competing in the State track meet this weekend in Columbus, and has already posted a very impressive 21.3 200 meter time at a meet this season.

Shaw had an impressive 21 touchdowns on 180 carries, while coming up just shy of 1,000 yards for the 2006 season. He averaged 20 yards per catch as a receiver while scoring once on the year; He benches 285 pounds, squats 425 and has a 35-inch vertical jump.
