Checking in with a Kentucky superstar

He is high on the list of many schools across the country, and Duane Long caught up with him for an update.

Ohio State is in on several out-of-state superstars, but none of those players are bigger stars than Louisville, KY athlete Michael Bush. Bush is currently rated as the #1 WR prospect in America by theInsiders.com, but that is only one of several positions he can play.  But what position would he like to play?

"I think I want to play quarterback," Michael said. "I always played quarterback until high school. I really like it. The newspaper said I am passing for a 60% completion percentage."

Can't argue with that... after all, it isn't every day you find a 6-4, 215-pound QB who can run a 4.5 and has a rifle arm.  So far though, he has been doing it all for Male High School as he has been passing, running, catching a pass from time to time, and excelling on defense.

"On defense, I am playing safety and linebacker," he said. "I move around a lot to check our opponent's best guy."

Michael has consistently listed the same schools when it comes to the schools he likes, and OSU has always been on that list.  He hasn't been up to a game yet though.

"The only game I have been to is Kentucky-Louisville at Louisville," Michael said. "I have not been on any official visits, and that is the only game I have been to.  I am going down this weekend to the Tennessee-Florida game."

Does Michael plan to get up to any OSU games soon?

"I like Ohio State," he said. "I am going to try and get up there. Probably for the Michigan game."
