Northwest Ohio doesn't always get the coverage many feel it deserves, that just might be the case with this hot prospect from Crestview High School in Conway, Ohio. Briggs Orsbon has gone under the radar but has seen several college programs make official offers after watching him in their summer camps.
Standing 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, Orsbon has seen his time on the field scattered around at different positions.
"We had an injury at quarterback and I had to move from wide receiver to quarterback. I also play on defense."
While a team player, Orsbon enters his senior season holding several school records including rushing yards in a season (1,288 yard), all purpose yards in a season (2,112 yards) and rushing yards in a game (377 yards). During his career Briggs gained 4,200 All-Purpose yards with over a thousand yards each receiving, rushing and from returns. If he can pass for another 272 yards this season he'll also have over a thousand passing.
Last season saw Orsbon earn too many honors to list, but being named Player of the Year for the Van Wert Area and Offensive MVP go with the other six honors.
Orsbon has attended eight or nine camps this summer and has been timed at 4.40 in the forty. Schools have projected him on both sides of the field and while the MAC has shown the most interest he's also hearing from Michigan State and Purdue.
