Nothing has Changed for Shugarts

There has been a lot of talk surrounding Scout.com five-star prospect J.B. Shugarts due to the fact he was in Baton Rouge this weekend for the LSU Tiger camp. Although J.B. was not available for comment his father released a statement regarding the situation.

J.B. Shugarts, a 6-foot-8, 310-pound offensive lineman from Klein High in Texas made a commitment to sign with Ohio State following an unofficial visit to Columbus for Buckeyes' spring game. As you can imagine there was a lot of fervor being built up over the fact he took an unofficial visit to LSU for a session of camp.

Shugarts' father, Bret, issued a statement this evening regarding the situation surrounding his son.

"J.B. Shugarts attended the LSU kicking camp this weekend as a spectator to support and cheer on his fellow team mate and good friend Randy Bullock."

"J.B. is committed to Ohio State and nothing has changed with his commitment."

"Anything else that has been reported or stated regarding J.B. this weekend is not factual."
