Walker on Buckeyes List?

A player not talked about much with interest from or for Ohio State is finding there might be a chance to be part of the Buckeyes program.

Middletown is no stranger to Ohio State fans or coaches, so why should it surprise anyone if the Buckeyes are keeping an eye on one of their top prospects?

Offensive lineman Blaec Walker is finding some interest from the Buckeyes and former Middies player and current Ohio State recruiting coordinator John Peterson.  Middletown head coach Ron Johnson explained the ongoing interest.

"They really liked what they saw from Blaec at their senior camp.  They brought him in and were very up front with him that other players were ahead of him, but if things went in a certain direction they'd be taking a harder look."

When asked what the Buckeye coaches had to say about their interest, the 6-foot-5, 321-pound offensive lineman had the following response.

"There are a couple of higher profiled players in front of me.  The coaches told me after camp they want to see some of the first couple of games this year and they'll then know more about where I stand."

Walker has a giant frame and the ability to move his feet for such a big man.  Coach Johnson said Ohio State really likes what his player brings but have been straight with the fact a couple of other players stand ahead of him at this time.
