OSU hosted their first official visitors during the Indiana game, and one of them was big-time cornerback prospect Tarell Brown from Mesquite, TX. What did he think of the visit?
"It went real well," he said. "I came up with my teammate Dominique Brooks. Troy Smith was my host"
Tarell got to meet several people when he was in town.
"I met so many players -- Chris Gamble, Craig Krenzel, Maurice Clarett and a lot more," he said. "I met coach Tressel. He was very nice. He was a very straight forward man and I like that."
Texas is a long way from Columbus; what would Tarell think of coming all that way?
"I could be very comfortable there," he said. "They don't have any Texas players, but I wouldn't mind being the first."
This was the second school Tarell has checked out this year. Texas was first, and he had a good time at both.
"I had a great time at both Ohio State and Texas. After this visit Ohio State evened it out with Texas."
Weather is always an issue when it comes to players from the south coming up to Columbus. Where does Tarell stand?
"The weather wasn't bad," he said. "It won't have an impact on my decision."
Tarell has seen the Buckeyes on TV this year, but one game he did not see was the thriller/scare against Cincinnati.
"I didn't see last weeks game with Cincinnati," he said. "I heard that Chris Gamble went in at cornerback. He is very athletic."
