Ashton Youboty, the speedy four-star cornerback prospect from Klein, TX, has not decided where he's going to school. But has decided one place he is not going, and that is in-state.
Ashton is trying to decide whether he should stay more towards the south for college or if he should go north. That decision may determine where the rest of his visits will be.
"Penn State has been my only official visit thus far," he said. "I am pretty sure about visiting Ohio State and maybe Tennessee. If I decide to stay in the south I will visit Oklahoma and Tennessee. If I decide to go north, I will visit Ohio State and Michigan."
All those schools have offered, but he said "the offer from Tennessee has not been issued in writing."
Ashton has lived up north in his life as he spent his childhood in Philadelphia. "It wasn't that I was born in Philadelphia and spent a few years there," he said. "I lived in Philadelphia until the 8th grade."
Ashton talked a bit about OSU and the coaches.
"I have seen a couple of Ohio State games on TV - Cincinnati and Kent State," he said. "I have been talking to coach Conley mostly. He is the one recruiting me, but I have talked to Coach Tucker too."
So far, Ashton's team is off to a good start, and he is also helping out on offense.
"We are 4-0," he said. "I have been playing WR on offense. I know I won't play there in college. I am just helping out the team. I have a defensive mentality. I will be a corner."
