Buckeyes Add Second 2009 Commitment

The Buckeyes picked up a second member of their class of 2009 this afternoon when central Ohio prospect Storm Klein gave Ohio State head coach his verbal commitment. BuckeyeSports.com has the first report.

About one month ago, Storm Klein told BuckeyeSports.com that he could be committing to the Buckeyes "in 10 minutes or I could do it in 10 weeks."

The waiting period is over, and Klein has issued a verbal commitment to Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel this afternoon, Bill Greene has learned. A multi-talented prospect who plays offense, defense and special teams for Newark (Ohio) Licking Valley, Klein was offered by the Buckeyes as soon as they were allowed to do so.

Thought to be an OSU lean for some time now, Klein had been in contact with coaches at Notre Dame and Penn State, among others.

As a sophomore, the 6-3, 220-pound Klein rushed for 1,800 yards and 28 touchdowns. He becomes the second member of the Buckeyes' class of 2009, joining his friend Jordan Whiting, a linebacker from Louisville (Ky.) Trinity.
