Eight games into his senior season at Eden Prairie (Minn.) Senior, the 6-2, 263-pound Mobley had planned to take an official visit to Wisconsin this past weekend. The trip was due to the first of five official visits planned for Mobley, but plans changed.
The weekend came and went with no visit paid to the Badgers by Mobley.
"I was kind of busy," Mobley told BuckeyeSports.com. "I might reschedule in a couple of weeks, but it doesn't matter."
Thought to be an Ohio State lean for some time, Mobley has one official visit coming up shortly. The Buckeyes will host Wisconsin Nov. 4, and he will be making his first trip to Columbus for the game.
Although he does not have a date set for when he might make a decision, Mobley did not rule out issuing a verbal commitment to the Buckeyes while on his official visit there.
"I like Ohio a lot," he said. "I've been talking to other recruits and they say when you go there, you'll want to commit on the spot."
When asked if he would consider doing so himself, Mobley said he was not sure.
The Buckeyes have two verbal commitments along the defensive line for their class of 2008. Washington Court House (Ohio) Miami Trace defensive end Nathan Williams and Lombard (Ill.) Montini Catholic defensive tackle Garrett Goebel – both four-star prospects – have issued verbals to the Buckeyes.
