Patterson talks visits

Star DT David Patterson loved his trip to Miami. Duane Long caught up recently with him to talk about it.

Star defensive tackle David Patterson from Warrensville Heights, Ohio took his official visit to Miami (FL) this past weekend, and he came away very impressed.

"Miami was a tremendous visit," David said. "I got to hang out with Jonathan Vilma, D.J. Williams and some of the other players. I spent time with Coach Coker."

He talked about the differences in the coaching staffs between Miami and Ohio State.

"I felt very comfortable with the coaching staff at Miami," he said. "It is a whole different feel than Ohio State with them -- more laid back. It was like hanging out with the guys."

The OSU coaches are still recruiting him hard.

"Coach Tucker and Coach Fickell were at my game last Friday," he said. "I really like Coach Fickell. He is a great guy."

Right now, David's top two are clear, but other than that, he doesn't seem sure who else is on the list.

"Ohio State and Miami are my top two," he said. "I might visit Michigan. I might visit Boston College. I might visit Maryland. I might visit Florida. Right now, the only thing I am sure of is Ohio State and Miami are my top two."
