Ohio State has suspended reserve defense back Eugene Clifford for the BCS National Championship Game. On Thursday, it was reported that starting cornerback Donald Washington would also be suspended. That did not happen, however, as OSU only announced Clifford's punishment. According to a story by the Columbus Dispatch, Washington has appealed his suspension and his status may not be known for days. The Cleveland Plain Dealer has a story on Washington's status.
