Duane Long's Thursday Recruiting Stock Report

Duane Long checks in with his latest look at a group of players interested in OSU and where things stand...

Duane Long is back with his Thursday Stock Report. First though, he gives us an update on a standout junior, Ted Ginn, Jr from Glenville:

"You may have heard about Donte Whitner and Dareus Hiley, the two outstanding defensive back prospects from Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio. There is another blue-chip DB prospect coming from that school next year as well, and his name is Ted Ginn, Jr. Ted is still just a junior in class and has already received offers from Ohio State, Iowa, and Southern California and is getting heavy interest from Michigan, Purdue, and Wisconsin. Ted is currently 6-1, 165 and runs a 4.45 in the 40, and he has also known for his fast track times as he clocked in with a 45-second 400 meter time as a sophomore. Ted is also playing at QB for Glenville and is the son of head coach Ted Ginn, Sr. Keep an eye on this player because he is a candidate to be a top 100 player nationally next year."

1. Prescott Burgess

I spoke with my guy at 11PM last night and he is just not concerned about Burgess being a Buckeye. He is more concerned about the shoulder injury. He will not play until the first week of the playoffs. He has not been to Buckeye games due to treatment for the shoulder on Saturdays.

The Texas schools are paying more attention now. I am not as confident.

6. Sian Cotton

Same as last week. No offer yet from Miami. That is the key to Cotton and the Buckeyes. He continues to impress on both sides of the ball but most think offense.

7. Dareus Hiley

I spoke to Dareus last week for the first time in a couple of months. He seems like he has grown up a lot in that time. It's interesting that his grades have come up and so has the Buckeyes' interest in that time.

Hope to have an update by this time next week.

9. Michael Bush

Scheduled in for the Penn State game. I would like to see the Buckeyes get the last visit, but in Bush's case, I don't see him taking all 5.

10. Joel Holler

Penn State put the hard push on him and he didn't budge. It may have cost them turning up the pressure so much.

11. Wesley Jefferson

Wants to play with Whitner.

13. Mario Williams

First and last are always the most important visits. The Buckeyes get him first. I would rather be last but first is the next best place.

14. Andrew Bain

Talked a lot about Florida State and their lack of depth last time we talked. He wants to play early. If he comes up to visit, it could get interesting once he sees the depth chart.

15. Kenyon Buford

Moved up his visit to OSU and has not scheduled any others. I asked him twice if he was he going to verbal and got no response.
