For having a pile of offers on the table Zach Domicone, 6-foot-2, 205-pound athlete from Beavercreek had to be one of the least talked about prospects in the "Buckeye State" that was until Ohio State stepped up to the plate with an official offer.
Domicone may have been overlooked as a junior due to the fact he was utilized as a quarterback where as he will most likely end up as safety or linebacker on the next level. Nebraska was the first major school to come in with an offer and shortly after Oklahoma and Ohio State followed suit.
There are a lot of people talking about Domicone's potential or his frame, but the one thing that people seem to overlook is his speed. He consistently runs in the 4.5 range and busted off sun 4.5's at camp stops at Akron and Ohio State.
"He has great physical size for the safety position," Southwest Ohio analyst Dave Berk said of his talents. "His speed is legit and for as big as he and as good as his straight line speed is he could develop in to a difference maker down the line after he learns how to play the position. he could also end up as an outside backer."
Pro Comparison Stuart Schweigert, Oakland Raiders
Domicone could end up reminding many people of the former All-Big 10 Purdue safety. This year on the field Schweigert collected 69 tackles and two interceptions and has been a solid player so far in his career.
