Wood Discusses Pledge

The Jim Tressel-led Ohio State recruiting machine picked up another commitment on Sunday when Pickerington Central star Jamie Wood accepted an offer to become a Buckeye. Bill Greene has the inside story.

Pickerington (Ohio) Central wide receiver Jamie Wood made short work of the recruiting process as he made his decision today.

"I've loved Ohio State and I've dreamed all my life of being a Buckeye," Jamie Wood said, of his decision to commit to Ohio State. "I didn't plan on committing today, but after touring the Woody Hayes Facility, I did go ahead and commit to Jim Tressel."

Wood is one of the top prospects in Ohio and admitted his fondness for Buckeye head coach Jim Tressel influenced his decision.

"Jim Tressel is everything I could want in my head coach in college," Wood continued. "He is just the way he comes across on television. He is a very genuine man and he made this decision very easy. We are going over to the basketball game right now and it feels good to be a Buckeye."

Scout.com will update this story after talking more with Jamie Wood later on today.
