Taft High School head coach Mike Martin knows all too well about playing at the highest level. A former player himself, Martin knows things are about to get crazy for his senior to be Cornelius Carradine.
"Right now we're talking about a young man who works hard and wants to win. He pulls everyone along for the ride and his teammates are paying attention. Off the field we have a young man who is very quite but once he's in the locker room, weight room or on the field he's very vocal."
When asked about where his offer list stands Coach Martin said it was getting longer each day.
"Cincinnati, West Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, Miami Ohio and Ohio University have all offered. Sunday we've scheduled to visit Ohio State for their Junior Day and I would be very surprised if he didn't leave with an offer from there."
Coach Martin wanted to make it clear he feels his young player has a great future but is still a work in progress. But the future is very bright when you're talking about an athlete like Cornelius "Tank" Carradine.
"Cornelius is running track for us this year and we expect him to have a great season. He runs the hurdles for us and is a sight to see when he is running."
Scout.com will be making an in-school visit to Taft High School and have more on Cornelius "Tank" Carradine this week.
