Tank has four, maybe more

The latest on Fayetville, NC defensive tackle DeMarcus "Tank" Tyler:

DeMarcus Tyler is going to have a busy couple of months. He is going to be taking his visits and making a decision soon, and his first visit was to Ohio State on the weekend of 11/2.

"My visit (to OSU) was great," he said. "It was my first official visit. The stadium was amazing."

"Brandon Mitchell was my host. I met all the coaches. I met Will Smith and most the players... I could see myself up there. I have family in Detroit. They are 3 hours away. They want me to go to Ohio State."

What about the chilly weather he encountered?

"The weather isn't a factor," he said. "I will have to learn to deal with it. If I play in the NFL, I can't control where I go and where I play."

DeMarcus talked about where things stand right now with his visits.

"I don't have a pecking order yet, and I don't know if I am only going to take the four visits," he said. "Some other schools are coming into play. I may take a 5th visit."

He knows at least three other schools he will visit.  "I am set up for North Carolina State on November 23," he said. "I plan to set up for North Carolina and Tennessee."

Due to his plans for enrolling early, he will have to come to a decision fairly soon.  "I am still wanting to enroll in January," he said.
