Former Buckeye Mike Doss will finally graduate from Ohio State this weekend, and the Canton Repository has a story on his journey.

Thursday was a big day for another Buckeye. Baseball outfielder/pitcher J.B. Shuck was drafted by the Houston Astros in the sixth round of the MLB first-year player draft. The Mansfield News Journal has the story.

Many athletes will be in Columbus this weekend for the OHSAA track and field championships at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The Cincinnati Enquirer has a story on one – future Buckeye wide receiver DeVier Posey of Cincinnati La Salle.

Smith is a graduate of Notre Dame and was a member of the Irish's 1973 national championship football team as a defensive end.
