"I'm enjoying the recruiting process," McDougald said. "I've made a few visits and I'm still hoping to make a few more. I was at Michigan last week but they did not offer. I will be at Ohio State's camp on Friday and I still want to see Michigan State and Wisconsin. I will be working out and going through all the drills at Ohio State. I'm hoping to show what I can do."
Even though he stars on both sides of the football for Scioto, McDougald is being recruited by the Buckeyes as a defensive back. He admits to having Ohio State as one of his top schools.
"Ohio State is one of my top schools, but I wouldn't say they are a definite leader," McDougald said. "I'm looking for the school that best fits what I'm looking for. When I find the right school I'm sure I'll know it. I doubt I would commit to Ohio State on Friday. I want to see a few other schools and be able to make comparisons. I want to take my time and make the right decision. I've got a good relationship with [Ohio State assistant] Luke Fickell and I feel comfortable with the Ohio State staff. I haven't really set a timeframe for making a decision, but when I know where I want to go, I'll announce it."
McDougald, 6-1 and 190 pounds, rushed for 1,045 yards and scored 13 touchdowns as a junior. He played some cornerback in 2007 and is being recruited as an athlete by most schools.
