"I had a great camp today," McDougald said. "I worked out as a safety and it was cool being coached by Taver Johnson and Paul Haynes. Coach Haynes worked with me a lot in the one on one drills and in the individual workouts. Those are great coaches and you can tell why the Ohio State secondary is so good."
McDougald has visited other schools, including Michigan, and he compared Ohio State to the others.
"I really enjoyed myself today and Ohio State is a place I feel really at home," he admitted. "Today really made me feel more impressed with Ohio State and they're at the top of my list. I spoke to Jamie Wood (of Pickerington Central) and he told me how happy he is with Ohio State. Today's camp definitely made a big impression on me. I spoke to Coach Johnson and Coach Haynes after camp and they were great to me. They said they're ready to have me whenever I decide to be a Buckeye. They didn't pressure me at all, but they made me feel wanted."
McDougald has previously expressed a desire to visit a few other schools, like Michigan State and Wisconsin. Has there been a change in plans since the Ohio State camp experience?
"Yah, things have changed," McDougald stated. "I want to think about things and talk it over, but I don't think there will be any more visits. There's a good chance I could be making my decision in the next week."
