Hall Makes Appearance At OSU Camp

Cleveland Glenville offensive lineman Marcus Hall attended the Ohio State senior camp on Friday. Hall, one of the top linemen in the country, is currently on the Ted Ginn bus tour. Bill Greene spoke with Hall after his workout.

Cleveland Glenville superstar Marcus Hall attended the Ohio State senior camp on Friday as part of the Ted Ginn bus tour. Hall, who has been to Ohio State on numerous occasions, talked about his experience with the Buckeye staff, and offensive line coach Jim Bollman.

"Things went really good at Ohio State," Hall said. "I didn't get to go through the entire workout because we had to leave early. I'm on the Ted Ginn bus tour and the big men are going to a special camp at Bowling Green, while the skill guys are going to Chris Chambers' camp at Collinwood."

Hall was able to spend some time with Ohio State offensive line coach Jim Bollman and he came away impressed.

"As a group, the offensive linemen got to watch film with Coach Bollman," he stated. "I also got to spend some time with him by myself. We watched a video on technique. Coach Bollman told me how happy he was to see me in camp. He said he always looks forward to seeing me. He was surprised I worked out. Coach Bollman said a lot of guys with offers just showed up today, but they didn't work out. That's not me. If I'm there, I'm going to get out there and show what I'm made of."

Hall said he has narrowed his list down to six schools. He doesn't have a set time for making a decision.

"I'm down to USC, Ohio State, Illinois, Penn State, Miami and Michigan," he admitted. "I don't really have a favorite, but I think a couple schools are ahead of the others. I'm not sure about taking all my visits or not. I was going to visit USC for the Ohio State game, but I can't do that because of my schedule. I want to get out there at some point though. I probably won't make my decision until after my season is over, but you never know. When I know where I want to go, I'll sit down with my coach and my family and tell them first. I'm just not sure when that might be."

Where does Ohio State fit in for Hall? He's visited on several occasions and he should know the Buckeye program inside out.

"Ohio State is a great school and I do know them pretty well," he said. "Today really didn't change how I view Ohio State. The only thing I would say is that I really had my eyes opened today about Coach Bollman. I didn't get a chance to work on the field with him, but I got to see how he does things from a closer viewpoint. I came away very impressed with him. I'm glad I got the chance to get to know Coach Bollman better."
