Superstar Ohio junior running back Delbert Ferguson has finally made the move he has been talking to me about for 2 years. He has transferred to Warren Harding.
The first conversation I ever had with Delbert, he talked about the opportunity to play at the top level in Ohio - Division I. This is a young man who is as competitive as any player I have come in contact with, including his good friend Maurice Clarett. He was not satisfied with getting to play against the best in college. He wants it now in high school.
Ferguson rushed for over 1700 yards while only carrying the ball more than 20 times once this season. I spoke to his father who told me, "We enrolled Delbert this morning. He will start classes at Harding on January 6th. After we enrolled him, we went down and got to speak to Coach McDaniels for the first time. He is a complete gentleman and a class act."
