Lots of handwringing is going on among Ohio State fans about the state of their offense after eight seasons under the tutelage of Jim Tressel. Here is why you should take a wait-and-see approach on this topic.
Without a doubt, the statistics do not paint a pretty picture of the Ohio State
offense this past season, and that can be said of a couple of other campaigns since Jim Tressel's arrival in town in 2001.
Numbers rarely tell the whole story, but improvement over 2008 is a necessity in the future.
Calls for drastic changes are off base, though, and I will dispute those who think a great deal more should have been expected from the past.
I'll tell you why in the latest post in the Cus Words blog.
