Recruiting Updates: Turk McBride, James Lee

We have updates today on two players showing interest in Ohio State: blue-chip DE Turk McBride and underrated FL OL James Lee.

Turk McBride is right in the middle of his visit schedule and talked about his remaining dates and decision time. "I am set for North Carolina State this weekend, Miami on 1/17 and Virginia on 1/24," he said. "I am not going to be making a decision until then. I think right around signing day."

He is looking at both of the teams who played in the national championship game, and he tuned in to check it out. "The national championship game was great," he said. "Maybe the best game I have ever seen."

"Coach Daniels is recruiting me for Ohio State. He is a nice guy. Coach Fickell was with him with he came to my house."

He talked a bit about his season and other topics. "I had 61 tackles on the year and 12 1/2 sacks," he said. "I blocked 4 punts. I had one fumble recovery for a touchdown and one interception for a touchdown."

"I am 6-4 245 right now. I didn't camp anywhere but my best time in the 40 was 4.55. I play outside LB and DE. Most schools are looking at me for DE."

Meanwhile, James Lee is trying to round out his visit schedule with a visit to Ohio State, but he doesn't have it quite finalized. "I was supposed to visit in December, but things got fouled up," he said. "I have not heard from Ohio State for a while, but I am going to call and try to set something up."

"I have been to Rutgers and Central Florida. I am going to visit Florida 1/17 and Georgia 1/24. All of them have offered. I want to set up Ohio State for 1/31."
