Position: Wide Receiver
Location: Delray Beach, Fla. – Atlantic
Weight: 180 pounds
Recruiting Breakdown: It seemed Louis was going to be a Florida Gator for months, but he ended up an Ohio State Buckeye. It is unknown as to what happened with Florida, but the Buckeyes got one of the more versatile playmakers in the Sunshine State. He had a long and very impressive list of offers from schools and he chose the best in the Big 10.
Player Analysis: Athlete is the perfect description for Louis. He is a very versatile athlete that could a wide receiver or defensive back on the next level. It is likely that he will have a chance to do damage with the ball in his hands up in the Horseshoe for Jim Tressel. Louis has very good feet, he has great acceleration, and he is only going to get bigger and stronger in the coming years. He has a nice frame to add weight while maintaining his speed in college. He gets a lot of yards after the catch in high school and I expect him to do the same in college. He still needs to polish the little things as a wide out – he needs work on his hips getting in and out of his routes and really just his overall route running. He does so many things nicely and it would have been nice to see him live this spring or summer, but he held out of most camps. Overall he is a very good athlete with playmaking skills. He catches the ball well, he has very good body control, he is very fluid, and OSU is getting someone that could shine on the next level.
Notes for Ohio State fans: The Buckeyes love to recruit the state of Florida and they got one of the most versatile athletes in South Florida here. Louis will be a good partner at wideout for 2009 signee out of Florida Duron Carter. Louis is the first commitment out of the Sunshine State for the Buckeyes in 2010, but they signed Carter, Carlos Hyde, and Jamaal Berry in 2010. They are have offered a number of prospects this year like LaMarcus Joyner, Tony Grimes, and Jeff Luc to name a few.
