Safe to say Ohio State's 2009 football odyssey was somewhat strange.

Talk of a rebuilding year morphed into hopes for another national title contender when Terrelle Pryor turned in a stellar close to spring ball and head coach Jim Tressel praised the improvement his sophomore quarterback made during the offseason, but the tone dramatically changed after the offense started slowly and played a significant role in disappointing losses to USC and Purdue.
