Buckeyes Join Big Ten Tourney Party Tonight

The Ohio State women's basketball team has done its usual dominating of the Big Ten regular season, but what is in store for the postseason? The Buckeyes are hoping the best is yet to come for a team whose stars are still on the young side.

Here's a look at what the Ohio State women's basketball team is facing as it heads into the postseason, beginning with the Big Ten tournament quarterfinal contest with Illinois at 6 p.m. tonight in Indianapolis.

The top-seeded and 10th-ranked Buckeyes will be looking to beat the ninth-seeded Fighting Illini for the third time this season and sixth time in a row, but the teams have some recent history in this round of the tournament.

Two years ago, Illinois upset the Buckeyes 64-58 in the quarterfinals on a Friday night at Conseco Fieldhouse, and last year Jantel Lavender and Co. got their revenge with a 70-53 rout.

This time around, Ohio State is hoping that a week off to refine some skills will help them meet their immense promise.
