Gambrell Becomes Buckeye's Fifth Commit

Toledo (OH) Rogers athlete DerJuan Gambrell committed to Ohio State Tuesday morning, becoming the Buckeye's fifth commit. Gambrell, being recruited as a cornerback, is the third commitment to Ohio State in the past two days, following Chris Carter and Antonio Underwood. Bill Greene caught up with Gambrell and filed this report.

DerJuan Gambrell, Toledo (OH) Rogers, continued the Buckeye commitment wave Tuesday morning, when he notified Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel of his desire to play for the Buckeyes.

"It's a done deal," Gambrell said. "I just got off the phone with Ohio State and I committed to them."

On Monday, the Buckeyes accepted commitments from offensive linemen Antonio Underwood and Chris Carter, as the effort to build a top class for 2011 continued. will have more quotes from Gambrell shortly.
