Junior Prospect - Darryl Clark

Darryl Clark is one of Ohio's top quarterbacks this year and is rated by Ohio's Future Stars as one of the state's top 20 overall players. We caught up with him recently for an update.

Youngstown Ursuline's Darryl Clark will be one of the top quarterbacks in Ohio this year. Clark has a strong arm and great athleticism. He also is a guy who likes to have fun on the field.

"I like to get the entire offense involved, get a team effort going," he said. "I like to run a balanced game and I like to enjoy myself."

Clark stands at 6-3, 190 and runs a 4.7. You won't find many QBs who does what he does on the basketball court though.

"I am playing basketball now," he said. "I play power forward."

Darryl is currently receiving some attention from Michigan and Toledo, but Virginia is sending him the most mail. He was thinking of checking out Toledo's junior day, and he has already been up to Michigan.

"I've been to Michigan recently and West Virginia as a sophomore," he said. "I really liked it. They treated us real well. The coaches were easy going and relaxed. Coach Loeffler was a great guy and I really liked the facilities."

What will be important to Darryl in choosing a college? "I've talked to Louis about it quite a bit," he said. "Academics is #1. I want to go somewhere where I can have fun. A good social atmosphere is important."

Darryl, who wants to major in Computer Technology and lists his favorite player as "Warren Moon, without a doubt", seems to just be waiting for the right feeling to hit him.

"I have not decided what I want to do," he said. "I will take visits until something feels right."
