Nebraska and Ohio State: Then and Now

The first shoe has dropped in the remaking of the Big Ten as Nebraska has announced it will seek membership into the league that houses Ohio State. Here's a look at the previous games between the Buckeyes and the Cornhuskers as well as a peak at the familiar faces who currently reside in Lincoln.

Both teams began playing intercollegiate football in 1890.

Both have been known more often than not as smashmouth, power-oriented teams with punishing defenses.

Both wear a jerseys colored a shade of red for home football games.

Both play in front of huge, packed stadiums that draw from throughout their cornfield-filled states with attention focused on each game from every corner.

And in the near future, Ohio State and Nebraska will be in the same conference.
