Pitt "Dream Come True" for Weah

Madison Memorial (Wis.) senior wide receiver Jester Weah talks about his official visit to Pittsburgh, adding an offer, and pulling the trigger inside.

It was a busy week for Madison Memorial (Wis.) 2013 wide receiver Jester Weah.

Saturday he received an offer from Pittsburgh while on his official visit then directly came back to Wisconsin to finish up finals for the semester.

And he committed to the Panthers in the midst of it.

"I called the coaches on Wednesday and told them about my decision," Weah said. "But I made it official on Friday due to my finals."

For Weah committing to Pittsburgh wasn't a matter of where, just when.

"It just felt right to commit," Weah said. "And I loved the university and what it had to offer when I visited."

On his official visit, there were several things in particular that stood out to Weah.

"Some of the things that I really enjoyed on my official visit were meeting the players, viewing the cathedral, and the food," Weah said.

But perhaps the most exciting part of Weah's visit, was receiving his offer from the Panthers.

"I got up there Saturday morning and then they took me to a basketball game," Weah said. "After the game I had a meeting with Coach Chryst and he offered me a scholarship."

He added, "I couldn't believe it, it was like a dream come true."

And when Weah told the coaches that he wanted to commit to Pittsburgh?

"They were really excited and happy to get me aboard," Weah said.

Weah will join the Panthers as a wide receiver, although he got some interest at the defensive back position. And he knows exactly what he will bring to the team.

"Pittsburgh is getting a physical receiver that is going to work hard to achieve his highest potential," Weah said.
