OSU Coaches To Visit Parker

Dai-Jon Parker has scheduled visits with the coaches from three schools in the coming weeks, including one with Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford, said Kenny Loyd, the coach of Parker's AAU summer team.

Ford is scheduled to meet with Parker on Thursday, Sept. 23, in Atlanta, Loyd said.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound four-star shooting guard from Alpharetta, Ga., also has home visits scheduled with Georgia and Virginia Tech, his AAU coach confirmed.

"After those three home visits, the other schools he's interested in and he's wanting to take official visits to are Oregon State, Florida State, Vanderbilt and Charlotte," Loyd said.

"He's been to Oklahoma State, Georgia and Virginia Tech but he hasn't visited the other four, and said he'd like to use four of his official visits to those schools. Then when all is said and done, he'll use his last (official) visit to shore up where he wants to go."

Parker, Loyd and Loyd's son, Jordan, made an unofficial visit to Oklahoma State in June.

"He really liked Oklahoma State, and spent a lot of time with coach Ford and coach (Butch) Pierre," said Loyd.

"He thought it was great. His exact words to me were, 'that place has everything I want in a basketball program.'"
