OSU-Troy: Recruiting Report

There was not a lot of activity for Oklahoma State's game with Troy Saturday night, and that was likely for a couple of reasons. I know that with OU hosting Florida State in a big national game that many prospects went to Norman with no chance of hitting both games.

One player actually called us and told us he was disappointed he could not make both games. Also, again with as many commitments in the next class and the more narrow scope of what OSU is looking for (junior college and high school defensive tackles, and one or two others including a linebacker) that not as many players in the 2011 class may be invited to games.

Here is the list from the Troy game as we have it.

2011 Recruits
David Glidden, WR, 5-9, 170, Mustang, Okla. - OSU commitment had a big night catching the ball with a 2-point conversion and a 93-yard interception return for touchdown to seal a 27-14 win over Putnam City North.

Parris Johnson, S, 6-1, 185 Irving (MacArthur), Texas - Made several big pass break ups in Labor Day loss to Colleyville Heritage at Cowboys Stadium.

Derrick Luetjen, DT, 6-2, 270, Hennessey, Okla. - High school defensive tackle OSU has been eyeballing closely. Hennesseey was shut out by Jones Friday 21-0.

2012 Recruits
Barry Sanders, RB/DB, 5-10, 185, Oklahoma City (Heritage Hall), Okla. - Ran for 127 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown, and also caught a 31-yard touchdown pass in 37-17 win over Clinton.

Jerame Littell, QB, 6-4, 197, Stillwater, Okla. - Son of OSU assistant head coach in women's basketball threw for 352 yards in loss to Edmond.

Davion Carter, RB, 5-10, 180, Stillwater, Okla. - Solid running back for Pioneers, who are off to a tough start at 0-2 after Edmond loss.

Corey Hassel, WR/CB, 5-8, 160, Stillwater, Okla. - Speedy target had five catches for 172 yards and two scores including a 71-yard touchdown in loss to Edmond.

Jesse Vester, WR/CB, 5-9, 185, Stillwater, Okla. - Trades off with Hassel as Littell's top target at Stillwater.

Brent Wilson, QB, 6-1, 185, Ponca City, Okla - Played well in a lopsided loss to Guthrie.
