"I like to juke and cut up field," said Wilson of his running style, which shows up that way. He is a back that looks for open field and then turns on a loping stride that can get the forty in 4.47 according to the Anadarko coaches.
"I'm playing pretty good, pretty good," he added in a humble manner. "I can get better. I can make a lot of improvement."
Last season as a sophomore, Wilson had 1,080 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on 149 carries, so he has already blasted his scoring mark and figures to blow by all of his previous bests. He also can catch the ball having made 10 receptions last season for 110 yards and a touchdown.
His size varies with different sources but he told us that he is 5-11 and currently weighs 175 pounds. He doesn't know his weight room stats but works out with more than 350 pounds on squat which would mean a max somewhere in the lower- to mid-400-pound range.
Now as for recruiting, Wilson said he has grown up an OU fan but has not heard from them in recruiting. He has received letters from the likes of Kansas State, Texas Tech, Stanford, Nebraska, and Wyoming.
He said he is a good student and is just anxious to hear from more schools and figure out more about the recruiting process and where he will fit in. If he keeps up his current pace he is going to fit in right there at the top.
