"I'm mixed up right now between the schools I'm considering, and waiting for more offers. I really think I will hear from some more schools, some more SEC schools, schools like Tennessee, Arkansas, and Alabama."
Hunter is 6-1, 290 plus pounds of strength and before the season started reported a bench press of 350 pounds and a squat of 615 pounds combined with a vertical jump of 27 inches. That is plenty of explosive manpower.
He reports offers from TCU and Missouri and confirmed an early offer from Baylor.
"I like TCU and I would say they are right up there and Missouri too," said Hunter.
When asked if he is only waiting for offers from schools in the SEC he said that is not the case.
"I want to major in physical therapy, and if some other schools jumped in from different areas then I would look at them. I am looking for a big school, the right school," Hunter said.
Hunter finished the season with 71 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 3 fumbles caused. In the state championship game he put an exclamation point on his toughness as he suffered a high ankle sprain in the first quarter and played through it the rest of the contest.
He also has offers from the likes of Mississippi State, Mississippi, Louisiana Tech, and Memphis.
Obviously, there is interest in Hunter because there are not enough defensive tackles out there this season, or any other.
