Blackmon Returning For 2011?

SAN ANTONIO - As the Oklahoma State Cowboys were waiting to board buses a large group of fans had gathered outside where the team was eating its Tuesday evening meal. There was noticeable applause and while we cannot say we heard it ourselves, and are both reporting that multiple witnesses heard All-American Justin Blackmon say that he would be back at OSU one more year.

This is by no means an official statement but fans swore Blackmon was affirmative on being a Cowboy for another season.

Blackmon has been very non-commital and vague about his status with the media, saying it was something he would explore later. This season Blackmon took the nation by storm with 102 receptions for 1,665 yards and 18 touchdowns.

He averaged 151.4 yards per game and had more than 125 receiving yards and a touchdown scored in each game. If he does that Wednesday night against Arizona in the Alamo Bowl he will become the first to accomplish the consistency feat in the history of college football.

One source inside the Oklahoma State football program said he had not heard anything from Blackmon on the subject, and that he knew Blackmon had not received his paperwork on his draft status from the NFL as of yet.

Again, it's nothing official just something apparently communicated between one of the Cowboys most popular players and his fans while in San Antonio preparing for the Alamo Bowl with Arizona.
