Bryce Cottrell Checks Out OSU, Again

Linebacker Bryce Cottrell of Plano (West), Texas made it to a couple of Oklahoma State games during the 2010 season and the 8-5A All-District outside linebacker must have liked what he saw because he was back Saturday with his family on Junior Day.

"Today was good," said the 6-3, 220-pound Cottrell. "It was much of the same stuff I saw when I was here last season. You know same-o, same-o."

Cottrell had a really strong junior season finishing with 80 tackles, 58 unassisted. He also had five sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery.

He has attracted plenty of attention and gave us a rundown of his Junior Day trips so far and where he is heading.

"Before today at Oklahoma State we went to Mississippi State, Syracuse, and Kansas," said Cottrell. "Then today we were here and coming up I'm going to USC (Southern Cal) for Junior Day.

"I'm just looking for a good school, a winning program, and a place where I can fit in and fell comfortable for the next four or five years."

Oklahoma State has a member of the 2011 class from Plano West. Offensive lineman Travis Cross, who is already enrolled and in school for the spring semester, was a teammate with Cottrell the last two seasons at West.
