Ex-Cowboy Victor Johnson Transfers

We knew that safety Victor Johnson, victim last season of a second season-ending knee injury, was no longer with the team. Johnson's off the field problems finally mounted to the point that head coach Mike Gundy excused him from the squad. The Oklahoman is now reporting that the 6-0, 195-pound Johnson, out of Waco, Texas, has transferred to Northeastern Oklahoma State University in Tahlequah.

Johnson finished his Oklahoma State career with 46 unassisted tackles, 6 assisted tackles and a total of 52 tackles. He had one tackle for loss and two forced fumbles. On special teams he averaged 21.1-yards a return on 19 returns.

Johnson will have one year to play, but could possibly qualify for a second season at the Division II level based on an appeal after missing much of two seasons because of knee injuries.
