Cowboys Add Four-Star Recruit To 2012 Class

Just after speaking with Greg Powers of Scout, we got further confirmation from Bralon Addison of his commitment to Oklahoma State. The 5-10, 182-pound speedster (4.44) out of Missouri City (Hightower), Texas said he was indeed in Stillwater for Saturday's Junior Day and he did commit to Oklahoma State.

"Yes sir, that is true," said Addison. "I committed to Oklahoma State. It was the combination of having a teammate here at the school (Shaun Lewis) and being comfortable with him here. Then when I came up here the first time I loved it at first sight and felt like it was a place that I could live and play the next four years."

Addison confirmed that his mother was on the Junior Day trip with him and that they were going to the basketball game Saturday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena before heading back to the Houston area.

Addison is a four-star Scout recruit that also had offers from the likes of Arkansas, Baylor, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, SMU, Nebraska, and Houston.

We asked him to call us back when it was more convenient as he and his mother were looking to get something to eat before heading to the game.

Addison is currently starring in basketball for Hightower. Last season he played primarily quarterback and put up some impressive numbers with 1,068 rushing yards on 144 carries. He averaged 7.4 yards per carry and scored 15 touchdowns on the ground. He completed 118 of 199 passes for 1,858 yards and threw only three interceptions while connecting for 28 touchdowns.

Addison, who will play wide receiver starting out at Oklahoma State, joins Dalton Santos of Van, Texas as the second confirmed verbal commitment for the 2012 recruiting class.
