Simmons Picks Up Second Offer

Offensive lineman (guard/center prospect) Micah Simmons of Lindale, Texas, has been on the Oklahoma State target list from the very beginning, and we know he has interest in the Cowboys from his attendance to several games and junior day.

The 6-3, 270-pounder has a lot of potential and whether Oklahoma State is a place where he will reach to expand it is uncertain. But Simmons has offers as Arkansas State has now added its written scholarship offer to that of Northwestern State (Louisiana).

The District 3A-14 Offensive Lineman of the Year and First Team All-District performer has been busy this spring as Lindale has no spring football but schools coming through have eyeballed Simmons working out.

"Louisiana Tech, Arkansas, Kansas, Navy, Wyoming have been here to watch," said Simmons, who admits to being excited about the recruiting process and why shouldn't he? "North Texas, SMU, Texas, Texas State, Baylor, and Texas Tech too. Of course Northwestern State was here earlier."

Simmons will keep his options open but is very excited about the two schools that have come through and offered.
