Wiggins is smart off the field too. He has a 3.49 GPA and scored a 23 the first time he took the ACT and is capable of scoring higher. He also has a solid plan that he delivered when asked about his college major.
"I'm thinking right now that I'll major in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering," Wiggins said.
As for the football, that is going good as well. Wiggins made regionals in shot put in track as a sophomore but didn't make it this spring and that may have been because he couldn't wait to get back out there with head coach Brent Whitson, who came over from having success at Richardson, and is now ready to get it going with the Warriors.
He has also seen a number of college coaches come through this spring with an eye on him.
"Oklahoma State wants me to come to their one-day camp and they have said they will offer me then," Wiggins added. "Baylor has said they are about to offer me a scholarship. TCU has also said they want me to come to their one-day camp so they can see me up close. Kansas likes me a lot too. The coaches are being real positive."
Besides those schools, we know of interest in Wiggins coming from Missouri, Nebraska, Rice, and SMU. A good prospect that is fun to talk to and is a very squared away young man. Wiggins knows what he is looking for in a school.
