My guess is that because Oklahoma State is full and not taking any more linebackers in the 2011 recruiting class, and the Cowboys already have two commitments for 2012, there were a limited number of linebackers at Sunday's one-day camp. As a matter of fact, there were only about seven linebackers participating on the Boone Pickens Stadium turf.
Now we did like the looks of Jacob Davis
of Wichita (Northwest), Kan. The 6-1, 230-pound Davis ran well and looked good in drills. He was in Stillwater along with his good friend and fellow Division I prospect at linebacker from Northwest High School, Bennett Moore
Davis and Moore have been on a camp tour that has takent them from Kansas to Tulsa to TCU. They were at Oklahoma State on Sunday, and they also will hit Iowa State and a Kansas State satellite camp in Wichita before the end of the month.
Moore is 6-2, 225 pounds and both are good tacklers. Last season Moore had 98 tackles with 22 for losses. He also had two sacks and two interceptions including one returned for a touchdown.
Davis had more than 90 tackles as well. Those two will make good linebackers for some school, but it would appear that Oklahoma State is pretty well stocked at linebacker.< br>
