A native of Ardmore, Okla., Blackmon followed his record-setting sophomore season with another standout performance in 2011. He has recorded 113 catches for 1,336 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. He ranks second nationally in receptions per game (11.82) and eighth in receiving yards per game (111.33).
Blackmon, who beat out finalists Ryan Broyles of Oklahoma and Robert Woods of Southern Cal for the award, was a unanimous All-Big 12 First-Team receiver for the second straight year in 2011, and he also became the 10th two-time All-American in OSU history.
Blackmon's 113 catches this season is a school record, and he has 224 catches and 35 touchdown grabs over the last two years. He ranks second on OSU's career lists in receptions (244) and receiving yards (3,378).
With six 100-yard receiving games this season, including 13-catch, 205-yard effort against Kansas State, Blackmon has 18 games with 100 or more yards in his career, which ranks second all-time at OSU. He set an NCAA record with 14-straight games with at least 100 receiving yards, a streak that began in 2010 and continued through the first two games of this season.
