Cyril Obiozor is a name to follow in the state of Texas this year and his stock really began to climb after his standout Nike camp performance in College Station.
At this point in the recruiting process, the 6-3.5, 233-pound edge-rusher is wide-open, but he didn't mind listing seven schools which might have the best shot to garner his sig.
Obiozor was kind enough to offer up a tidbit on each of the seven universities.
A&M -- "I just really like their program and their facilities."
Colorado -- "I had a good relationship with Coach Eric Bienemy when he was there and that relationship carries on despite the fact he's moved on to UCLA."
Oklahoma -- "I've always liked Oklahoma. Just can't really put into words the way I feel about OU."
Oklahoma State -- "I just really like 'em. They were the first one to offer and that really means a lot to me. And I really like their program."
Texas -- "I mean they're Texas...a powerhouse...who wouldn't like them?"
Texas Tech -- "I've been looking at that school a little bit and I like their academics and their program, they're a good school."
UCLA -- "Assistant coach Eric Bienemy has been recruting me since I was a sophomore. I guess I feel a sense of loyalty to him and I like the direction they're headed in."
Obiozor planned on making the Texas June 1st mini-camp, but had media opportunities.
"There's only one camp I want to attend as of now and that's the Oklahoma camp."
That's definitely good news for the Sooner Nation.
As for whether he might add another camp, Obiozor said, "I'll let you know what happens."
Keep an eye on this kid.
