Jacobs Says He'll Visit Oklahoma State

Linebacker and all-around athlete Seth Jacobs (6-2, 210, 4.6) of Arroyo Grande, Calif., took two visits during the football season to Arizona State and Arkansas. Now he is ready to begin his final three visits starting with Oklahoma State this weekend.

"Everything is good right now and I'm just taking advantage of the process of recruiting to make a decision and decide where I'm going to college," said Jacobs, who helped lead his Arroyo Grande team to the CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) Section title.

"I have my visit to Oklahoma State this weekend, and then next week I go to Colorado, and then I will finish at UCLA. I'm not considering any other schools. I have really narrowed it down to those five."

Jacobs finished the high school season with 926 yards of total offense and 13 touchdowns. But it was his defense that likely earned him th honor of C-Mist Valuable Player in the league as he finished with a whopping 145 tackles. It is just about to be announced that he was Defensive MVP for the section.

As for his earlier visits he said those two schools are both still being considered and that both visits were really good. His Arizona State visit came before then coach Dennis Erickson and his staff were let go in favor of new head coach Todd Graham. He said he has been in touch with the new staff and he also liked Arkansas.

Jacobs' father played high school football and won a championship while growing up in Tulsa at Booker T. Washington High School. The proximity to relatives in Tulsa, which Seth is familiar with, could be an advantage for both Oklahoma State and Arkansas.

Jacobs says he is planning a ceremony with his friends at school to announce his decision when he has that made, but his intention for now is to keep making visits the next three weeks.
