Chance Allen Confirms He'll Visit OSU

The Oklahoma State coaching staff has been recruiting wide receiver Chance Allen of Fort Bend (Elkins), Texas for a long time. However, it was this week that the Cowboys officially offered a scholarship to Allen. Head coach Mike Gundy made an in-home visit Wednesday night that had an impact on Allen, who is considering visiting OSU, Mississippi State, Oregon and Iowa State.

The 6-2, 190-pound Allen was asked if he was going to head to Oklahoma State this weekend?

"Yes sir," Allen replied. "The visit with Coach Gundy went good. He is a great guy and a great person, and I think Oklahoma State would be a great fit. But I need to go up and see it this weekend."

Allen, who caught 52 passes this season for 892 yards and 10 touchdowns, said he will also visit Oregon on Jan. 27.

"Those are the only two schools I'm visiting and it really is down to those two (where I will go)," he added.

Allen is a good student and a qualifier, and he told us we could check back in with him on Sunday to see how the visit went. He is also a basketball player at Elkins but said he will miss this Friday's game in order to make his recruiting visit.
