Mickens Did Not Make Trip To Oregon

As we reported earlier in the on-again, off-again weekend for standout athlete Jaydon Mickens of Dorsey High School in Los Angeles, Mickens did not make an official visit to Oregon. That would seem to be a good sign for Oklahoma State.

"No, I didn't go and I'm not going," Jaydon Mickens said. "Coach (Mike) Gundy and Coach (Jemal) Singleton come out to visit me this week, and I am planning on going to Washington State on a visit next weekend."

Mickens is also considering Washington after he de-committed in November from USC.

Last season Mickens rushed for 378 yards and caught 32 passes for 558 yards in scoring 23 touchdowns for a Dorsey team that went 11-2 on the season. He also played quarterback some during the season in addition to being a return specialist. He averaged 19.3 yards on punt returns.

Mickens caught a touchdown pass and did a lot of other things for the winning West team to earn MVP honors at the Semper Fi All-American Bowl in Phoenix on Jan. 3.
